The technique involves the use of crystal rods (canes) inside which there are opaque (lattimo) or colored glass threads, set according to an axial symmetry or a series of spiral curves. From this we can understand that the preliminary phase of the technique in question is the production of a glass rod made up of an external jacket in slightly colored crystal or transparent glass and an internal core in white or colored opal glass.
